Ryan's Roses
Ryan's Roses is my guilty pleasure. I love listening to it because I hate cheaters with a passion. I've always had a problem with infidelity every since I was little (I think it stems from a fear of my dad cheating on my mom). I even go so far as to avoid movies where I think a husband or wife is going to cheat on the other.
Well, Ryan's Roses makes me laugh, it makes me cry, it makes me think. By offering accused cheaters the chance to send a free dozen roses to anyone and include a message, Ryan's Roses gets to the bottom of what's going on when someone thinks their significant other is cheating.
There was one girl who felt like as ass. She said her boyfriend was being *too* nice and she thought something was up. Turned out, he was being extremely nice because he was planning on proposing to her and she ruined his plans. "I'd like to send them to my wife. Ooops, I'm jumping the gun here. She's not my wife yet, but I'm going to ask her to marry me. I haven't told my friends yet." When I heard that, I was like, "OMG, I hope she feels awful."
Today, I heard a Ryan's Roses that made me cry. This woman finds money missing from a bank account where she has been saving money to buy Christmas presents for her children. And the husband wants the roses sent to some other woman. The wife stayed strong and said, "I'm a mother first" and told him that she and the kids were moving out. Good for her. And KIIS FM is so kind to offer to buy presents for her kids. I love Ryan.
There was another time I cried. A man called in to comment on a Ryan's Roses and he shared his heartwrenching story of how his wife cheated on him and kicked him out of the house. She didn't allow him to see his kids and he started crying, saying how much he missed them. And I started crying too. He said he had a birthday tradition where he decorates his children's room for their birthday and he'd blow up 60-70 balloons, but this year he couldn't do that for his son; his wife wouldn't let him in the house. I was just crying so hard and I was driving too. Luckily I didn't get into an accident. Ryan offered to get him free legal help because he had a right to see his children. Ryan also offered to help him find a place to live (because the man was living in his car).
I love Ryan. For a metrosexual guy, he's a good man.
