Adopted Soldier

For those who don't know, I adopted a soldier from www.soldiersangels.org about 2 weeks ago. Anyway, part of the requirements is to write to them at least once a week and to send a package at least once a month. I've written to him twice so far and sent one package. He emailed me earlier today to let me know that he got my package! Yay, how exciting!

"Hey how are you thank you for the box my soldiers really enjoyed the crackers, cookies, and the freezer pops they really enjoyed them i got the box today and they went through it like a pack of wolfs going through a trash can full of food they left me the healthy stuff. they said thats what i need to be eatting,LOL =)"

The daunting task ahead.....

I started to move in a few things (3 boxes of clothes and the donated magazines that I'm sending to my adopted soldier in Iraq) into my new apartment. The process is slow and daunting as I hate packing with a passion. Even if I am going to go somewhere fun on vacation, I still dread packing. Unpacking is strangely not a problem for me. I think I thoroughly enjoy it. For me, packing involves putting and fitting things into boxes, squeezing them in, trying to save space. My God, just thinking about packing makes me nervous. Whereas unpacking, you unload everything in the boxes and just put them back into place. I find putting things back into place a lot more fun and enjoyable than cramming things into boxes.
